 About The City of Vigan:

The heritage of Vigan is the finest surviving example of a Spanish Colonial town in Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's well that in the country that Vigan City has plenty of amazing attractions for both locals and tourists to enjoy.


Tourist Spots/Attractions:

Plaza Burgos
 Plaza Burgos is a popular park in Heritage City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur. To honor Vigan's prominent sons, Plaza Burgos was built to commemorate the martyrdom of Father Jose P. Burgos. The plaza is a great place for many locals to relax and unwind while people watching and just have a breather.






Calle Crisologo
If you ask me, you should most certainly not miss the opportunity to visit Calle Crisologo, whenever you go to Vigan! Not only the beauty of this place can be seen, as there are also vendors of local products in Vigan. You could also try a calesa to visit the famous tourist attractions of Vigan.





Vigan Empanada
Nothing is complete to visit Vigan without tasting its famous Vigan Empanada. You can choose to try this delicious delicacy at food stalls in the city or at empanada stands in markets and squares. It is relatively cheap to have enough children to starve after visiting the city.







Burnay Pottery Industry
The amazing jars made in Vigan are sought after by foreigners and local tourists. This famous pot is called Burnay made in the Burnay Pottery Industry. The industry sprang out of the making of burnay, which began in pre-colonial times when Chinese immigrants arrived in Vigan. They practice producing pottery is found in Vigan's western region. The "RG Jar Factory," to be precise.




Dancing Fountain
 Another of the highlights in Vigan is the very enjoyable Dancing Fountain. And if you enjoy colorful things, you should visit it every 7:00 or 7:30 at night. It is just in front of City Hall in Plaza Salcedo. The music accompanies the release of the water, so it feels like dancing. Different colors of light make it even more beautiful.
